Besides the fact that this part of the coast is known as, "The FAB FORTY", due to the miles of extreme coastal beauty,
the town of Brookings is between the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and the Pacific Ocean which changes daily.
A gorgeous City Park with band shell and kids playground is three blocks way from the Motorlodge as is the
HARBOR and BEACHES, the same distance.
The Center Photo (above) is one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere, anytime and is about a mile from the Motorlodge.
Keep an eye out for the Various events throughout the year as well as an outrageous 'year-round' fishing port.
Salmon (seasonal) are the best!, or catch your own crab or buy fresh tuna.
There's ART GALLERIES, SHOPPING, BOWLING, GOLF, BOATING & FISHING, SWIMMING, HIKING, RAFTING, etc.,
Two nearby rivers offer parks and magnificent trails. Along the way, Highway 101 north and south offers deep forest
and giant redwoods as well as lilly fields and wildflowers, wildlife, larger rivers and sights with inland excursions....
